THE Studio is inviting its regulars and music lovers to say farewell to the decade with a New Year’s Eve party including some very special live guests.

The Studio in Tower Street, Hartlepool is hosting its 'Farewell to the Noughties’ bash on Thursday, December 31.

And helping the venue to say goodbye to the last 10 years with a special live appearance will be legendary town band The White Negroes.

A Studio spokesman said: “We have had some great bands play at The Studio over the last decade and enjoyed some fantastic nights.

“We’d like to invite everyone who’s been through the doors over the last 10 years to come down for a very special night.

“It would be nice to see all our friends and familiar faces for the very last time this decade.

“We are hoping people will come in fancy dress as cultural icons of the Noughties, such as The Sex and the City girls, Osama Bin Laden and The PG Tips Monkey.”

The White Negroes are the band that have appeared the most times at The Studio over the last decade.

The lads are promising to play their longest ever live set including all their favourites on the night.

The venue’s resident DJs will be playing the best tunes from the decade from the likes of The Arctic Monkeys, The White Stripes and even Amy Winehouse, as well as old favourites.
