What a difference four days makes. Pools were unrecognisable from Tuesday. Comfortable and assured at the back. Fabulous in midfield. Upfront B&B were ten times the force.

It was great to see Turner let McSweeney take the applause of the crowd after his best game for Pools.

Maybe it won't be such a cruel winter for Pools after all.

Flinders 5 Nervous and dodgy in the first 25 minutes. One outstanding save later.

Liddle 8 The perfect compliment for big Sam. What a tackle in the second half.

McSweeney 8 Outstanding. Ran them ragged. Seems to be a confidence player.
Humphreys 7 Great comeback from poor game midweek
Sweeney 5 Never stopped running or trying but nothing is happening for him
Monkhouse 6 Solid game.
Boyd 8 Awesome, skillful, just what I hoped we were resigning in the summer.
Bjornnson 7 An excellent game. Took the back post header in the style of Baker in his pomp. Unrecognisable from Tuesday. Here's hoping this is the start for him.

Flinders is also a confidence player imo and those cheers and jeers he got from town end when he cleared the ball soon after his mistake will hardly have helped.

Although he did very well after it.

It wound me right up when Flinders was given ironic cheers for that clearance. Is it any wonder we have been shite at home when so many of the crowd behave like that?
