Earlier in the week I started a thread on here, entitled "away days". Many poster's have replied saying that their "groups" of friends who travel to away games has deteriorated in the last few seasons.

Now you all know that the home gates have also dropped and less people attend even some of the bigger games we have at home.

The reasons can be many fold , lack of finances, other commitments, but having read the thread I've mentioned there appears to be a lack of "enthusiasm" to attend games.

Now the only people who can get the fans back are you the players, this has to start from Tomorrow against Millwall. Yes some fan's wont be there to see how you perform, but a battling, good footballing performance will mean those who do attend can leave with a smile on their faces and tell those who didn't go what they missed, or alternatively they can leave the Vic talk to those who didn't go and then join them by not attending next game.

So it's now over to you as a set of player's to put on performances especially at home that will get those missing fan's through the turnstiles. You do that by performing, you do that by battling, you do that by getting a result, you do that by showing those who are saying our season is over because Brown is out for 12 weeks that we're not a one man team, and yes some fan's believe that I've spoken to them.

Now get out there tomorrow and get a win, get in front and don,t let that lead slip, as you have in 6 games this season losing 17 points from a winning position. Even if only hung on to 8 or 9 of those , how much closer to the top would we be, if held on to them all , well you don't need me to tell you were we would be sat. But if you do it would be 2nd

Yes that,s right 2nd, that's how close you are to have been having an excellent season, 2nd 10 points from 8th so in a excellent position to push on, even a dip would still give you breathing space to stay in the play-off's as the season nears it's end.

So once more get out there tomorrow and start to give the fan's the enthusiasm to attend games and get a win.
