Who off here is going?

I'm planning on driving down, although I've had one cry off today and another throwing doubt on whether he'll be going.

Where are folk meeting up for beer?

Says on here that Ricky's bar and Bradley Mills WMC don't allow in away supporters. Probably because of something you lot got up to on your last visit.

choo choo, just waiting on one or two people to confirm which train they are on -
1) Hpool to Thornaby, then Thornaby to Hudds Trans pennine express, or
2)the Hpool to York, then York to Hudds (my own favourite choice cos we can have a beer in York while we wait for the change over)
The cost is exactly the same, £31.60 cheap day return, any route permitted.

it is possible to get to huddersfield and back for £26.30,day return hartlepool-york £11,day return york-huddersfield £15.30.
So long as the train stops at york, which it does,it is legal, you don't even have to get off at york.
Book on-line or at hartlepool station and save £5.30.

I Huddersfield fan in peace  ,,,you should be ok having a drink in Rickys pre match although the topless service may be a bit far fetched as Ricky would rather it be men showing their nips  ,,,anyway theres often away fans in there as long as they dont go looking for bother as there is plenty around who will accomodate, well done for turning up last season on a tuesday night in the snow it will be a bit quieter this time as we arent allowed in the same stand as you now,how many do you think you will bring down?
good luck for the season

Hi, Poolie expat living in Hudds here. I'll be off to the game on Saturday. In the home end unfortunately as I've been given a mate's season ticket because he can't make it. I'd rather be in the away end but I'm skint so mustn't grumble.

If anyone is looking for a decent pub and some good banter with the Hudds fans before the game then The Slubbers Arms on Bradford road is a good shout. It's a Taylor's pub, so the beer is good, it's about ten min walk from the ground and there's always a decent crowd in on matchdays.

I'm working on Sat so will probably only manage a quick pint in there before the game, but it usually opens about 12. It's my local and I play footy for them so maybe I'm a bit biased, but it's a cracking boozer.

I am slightly worried about the result though. Huddersfield have been banging them in recently. I'll definitely settle for a draw.

It doesn't matter what train everyone gets as they are all open tickets, any route you like!! So if you want to stop off at York or Northallerton or wherever for a few sherberts and get a later train home, then we jolly well can!!! And I think we jolly well might!!!!

I'm going to see the Arctic Monkeys at Manchester arena on saturday night (starts at 7:30) I really want to go to the match too. What do you think are the chances of me getting from the ground to Manchester airport (hotel) in 1 hour to give me and the mrs enough time to get changed and get a taxi to the city centre?!
