Do you know for a fact it was stolen?
If you sit in the same place every match you should ask everyone next to you at the next home match. Might be able to identify him or know something.

Shame we don't have another home game soon. They might have been dense enough to have it on them and you could have rang them.

Just get a few spotters about and ring the phone!!!! :sweet:

That sounds a very good idea.

I remember when mine and my friends phone got nicked a few years ago while we were playing in a football match. After they'd nicked it, they started doing prank calls from my friends phone and rang his mate who was a policeman. Anyhow they made one prank call too many and eventually someone recognised their voice. It turned out to be someone we knew and my friend had previously had let's say a punch up, it's a bit more complicated than though (my friend was dating his sister). Anyhow, they got nervous and the phone suddenly turned up on his doorstep. They denied all knowledge of ever seeing...only thing was that they'd took photos of themselves with it. My phone never got recovered though.

Anyhow, the morale of the story is that if they've answered you then they're over confident and will eventually trip up.

A twats trick but a 9 year old with a new phone is easy pray for robbin scum - personally i wouldn't let a 9 year old have a phone but at the same time i wouldnt expect them to get it nicked if i did let them have one. i would be as angered as you are.

get yourself onto the mail - they could do a good little piece with a stern photo of yoursen

what you now need to do is ring the phone company it is registered with and give them the imei number and they will disable the phone even if they put another sim card in

I'd guess thousands of phones get nicked every day.
I'm not saying it's right but I doubt it's newsworthy enough for a press article unless you know some strings to pull.

A few days after Christmas
Nicked while celebrating Pools record achievement
Thats good enough for a story...definitely.
In fact just the kind of story a local newspaper would go for

I would be VERY surprised if it had actually been pick-pocketed. I reckon it's fallen out and been picked up. You don't tend to get the really scummy kids in that stand do you? In fact the real scum don't attend, they'd rather spend their cash on drugs and tabs.

I still reckon you'll get it back, especially as tales of someone answering and saying "welcome to the board it's our phone now" are not true.

sorry elvis BUT it does happen
my daughter who works at garlands left her phone in a taxi on her way to work.
my wife then got a very strange phone call where the scum where trying to work out how to use the phone complete with the scrote telling his "dad" to hurry up so he could have his "new phone"
luckily as soon as we realised what had happened the phone was disabled so even if they tried to get it unlocked it still wouldnt work rage

as a little light relief i was at work one day and somebody handed me a phone that had been left on the bus.
driving along the tees road and the phone started ringing so i pulled over and answered the phone to a foreign woman explaining her boyfriend had left said phone on bus and where could they collect it from i was trying to explain the office in hartlepool town centre but she couldnt grasp what i was saying so she said text me using the phone with details and phone number for office etc so i said ok. after she rang off i found the language on the phone was set to croation or polish or some other bloody language done my head in ringing all the way back to hartlepool

Isn't there a way of finding the Pin Number, possibly supplied with the new phone - which can be reported to the line provider who will then de-activate the phone? Still may not get the phone back but will prevent others from being able to use it. Just a thought like.
