As I don't watch much Telly these days....about 4 hours max per week....as opposed to about 8 hours per day up until a year ago....I missed this Great Series!!!! banghead

I watched the 3 episodes today on 4OD that have already been on Telly and can't wait for the next installment this Sunday!!!! :coool:

The Merchant Navy really were the 'Forgotten Heroes' of WWII!!!! confised

Anyone else been watching them????

The old feller was on them, he'd jusr finished his apprenticeship. Him and two of my uncles were also on the convoys and they all shared a joint hatred of dockers, they apparently used to thieve the emergency rations out of the lifeboats ... their biggest gripe was the fact that if your ship was sunk, your pay stopped immediately beacuse you'd broken your 'contract' of employment and left the job.
