Tuesday 6th Oct,

I dont think all the credit can be given to Pools for the pricing. If Im right I think it in the sponsorhip deal with JPT that children attend free with an adult if purchased prior to day of game.

And for that reason it is an earlier kick off than usual (school night and all that)

Kick off is 7pm.Competition rules

Bollox is the kick off time competition rules, as some games in the last round were played with 7.30 and 7.45pm kick off times.

I was planning on attending this one but that is extremely doubtful with that kick off time as I'll struggle to be home in time from work.

Fkin tossers.

My mistake I said league rules, it actually league recommendations. Though I did think it was rules as we kicked off our JPT games at 7 last season if my memory serves me right.

Well I reckon it's fkin stupid.

Unless their intention is to try and give away a load of free tickets to kids at the expense of missing out on selling full price tickets to adults who work. Talk about completely and utterly radged. stpid

I think Ripper is trying to let us know how hard working he is, and that his job isn't just a 9 to 5 one.

What?? You can't get home from work in time for 7pm on a one-off occassion?

Jesus who do you work for, the 3rd Reich????

5pm, ok....6pm...maybe...7 O'clock while you are doing a day job???

I'd leave.

Now.

He works for Pools , so be in the ticket office selling tickets to people who finish work at 5 and come down for them prior to kick off.

If pools can get an extra few hundred on the gate cos of an earlier kick off time, then fair play it's worth doing, unfortunatly they can't please everyone.

they need to do summit to imporve JPT attendences

That could be an idea Mr R as they can only give them away with an ADULT paying the £10, so people with kids may well take them as it be an early finish for school the next day.

It not as if they just saying to kids come on in it's free. They still get the adult entrance money.

Take a Chill pill and ask almost 4 weeks in advance if you can have an early finish.

Why not even make a doctor/dentist "appointment" * for about 4 that day allowing you to get away

* fictional doctor/dentist appointment for work only, you dont have to go.

I can get away from work early when I'm not busy no problem- I don't even have to stick my hand up and say "please Miss". However that time of the month is a particularly busy one cos it's when I need to be doing month end financial reports, maybe you suggest that I tell my boss he advises the board that they've no report that month cos Hartlepool had an early kick off in the JPT against Grimsby? stpid

And it's not just about getting to the ground for 7 is it- I could manage that if I went straight from work but I would personally prioritise going home first to see my boy before he goes to bed- a choice between Pools and my son and Pools come second.

Oh, and by the way, we don't all work in Hartlepool or Stockton you know, I have about an hour's drive home from work if the roads aren't clogged.

PS. Dibble, I'm not having a go for any other reason than I think that arranging night games that kick off so early is completely radged and doesn't take into account that people have to work for a living during the week.

rolfl rolfl rolfl

Lets face it, 99% of people will not be affected by the game changing to a 7.45pm kick off to 7pm because of work commitments so to suggest the decision is 'radged' is ridiculous.

I'm off that day but if I was working my shift would end at 7 and I wouldn't bother going to the game but I wouldn't be on here crying like a girl that it doesn't suit my personal plans because I can see the wider benefits of bringing the game forward.

stpid stpid stpid

Two points Mr Payer.

1. I disagree about the wider benefits as I reckon there'll be plenty of people who won't be able to attend due to the kick off time who would otherwise have been there.
2. I'm not crying like a girl.

I've expressed my dissatisfaction about what I consider to be a shyte state of affairs, I'll keep my tenner in my pocket (as no doubt will many others) and I'll say no more about it.

I can't see 45 minutes can making such a difference to many people, the majority of people go for a drink before the match anyway.

Why you've decided you're not going already when there is still a decent chance you'll be able to make it escapes me.

Are you seriously trying to tell us that those 45 minutes are vital for you to do your monthly reports?

A tip. Start the reports 45 minutes earlier than you normally would.

No, I'm saying that kicking off that early doesn't give me a chance to get home and see my boy before the match and that I'd rather do that than go to Pools if they wanna make it a choice between the two.

I'm also saying that it won't just be me who it affects. What about people who don't live in the town like our yakker fans, some of them might have a job and therefore be pushed for time to get to a ludicrously early kick off.

It's a combination of things Mr Dibble.

The bottom line is that it is a ludicrously early kick off time and I think it is a bolloxy stupid decision.

You have turned into Mr Fireball on this thread.

That is all.

I work Saturdays surely something should be done about the ealry 3 o'clock kick-offs on that day. Honestly the club doesnt think about others that work on a Saturday

You're just being silly now.

Football has always kicked off at 3pm on a Saturday and always should. Similarly evening kick offs have always been half seven or quarter to eight (at least in my lifetime).

Why not purchase your ticket early and get your lass to meet you outside the ground and take your son to the game and spend a nice evening with him.

So from the posts on here it appears that

1, it nothing to do with getting his month ending returns in

2, any other game with a 745 kick off, he would be neglecting his son rolfl rolfl and being in the Mill

so the reason he complaining is simply LESS DRINKING TIME PRIOR TO KICK OFF. rolfl rolfl

If there's anything that's supposed to be funny in this thread then I concur.

The second half will be kicking off at the ludicrously early time of 8pm though

Anyway ripper, please can I be there if you tell your boss he can't have his report because you lack the aptitude to organise 45 minutes of time with four weeks notice? I know if I told my boss the same thing he would find it seriously pissing funny!

...then he'd probably show me the door and try to get one of the bright kids instead sadx

There's an idea- I'll ask for September's cost info now so that I can start my report.

They'll be ok, mate. The game's on a Tuesday.

What if they haven't finished the work they were meant to do on the Saturday though?

Wake your son up when you come in from the match. Say "Hi son it was 2-0" then read him a bedtime story!!
Failing that, i'm sure you'll see him the next morning!!
