I went to Dalyan a few years ago and thought it was great, it is only a small town with a few restaurants and bars. The apartments we stayed at were nice and quiet, it had a pool and a bar and if you didn't want to go into town to eat on a night time they would cook for you

Went to Kalkan about six years ago and thought it was brilliant. (As long as you're going with your Mrs and are not up for nightclubs with the lads etc). If you get to travel Istanbul and Cappadocia are amazing places. Don't listen to Talbot, he doesnt like anything - including you. 90 percent of Turkey is brilliant. I've travelled most of it. The only parts that are shite are most of the places full of English tourists and the resulting desperation for their money...

I liked Cyprus, Norway, Canada, Holland and County Mayo, to name a few

When I went to Turkey, it was fooking, cunting shite, what SHOULD I say?

Ah...but did you visit 90 percent of it though?
I love Turkey, think it gets a bad name because of a few resorts I havent been to.
Not been to any of the above except Amsterdam and that was erm.....yeaahh! Canada is at the top of my wishlist but I can't even afford to go to Skeggy at the moment.
And I'd definitely choose Turkey over Egypt personally. In my experience you'll get hassled much more in Egypt - and Istanbul beats Cairo anyday. Still, if if you go to the pyramids pop in for a McDonalds when you're there...

Stayed in St Johann in a 'family run hotel' and agree with all you say apart from the fact we had to order our mediocre dinner two days before we ate it. It was the same in another family run hotel next to the Italian lakes. Family run = tight as a ducks arse with little choice of menu and a very expensive bar.

Did you find the brewery bar in St Johann .

Just came back from Xiachuang. White beaches, green mountains, blue skies and azure seas. Three room villa, 18 bar a night, as much fresh seafood as you can eat, 10 quid for two people including drinks, quad biking, scuba-diving, para-ascending, you name it.

Flights are a bit pricey for youse lot like.....

I agree, like that clip on Dave from only fools and horses.

"we are going on holiday away from the crowds", "where?"
"Benidorm" same could be said for Turkey
