Delighted.

I concur. Well done the lads today especially the defence. If only they could be so tight at home.

What was browns goal like?

absolutely awesome. 300 minutes away without conceding a goal. Turner has obviously got the right idea for the away matches. Now we have to find the right balance at home.

Great result clappp

According to my source, he twists and turns about 20 yards out, looks up and cracks it in off the bar! Sounds rather good to me.

cheers! Sounds great.

Well so far we have played 4 teams and 3 of them are in top 7 so maybe a better start than we thought?

I expected our away form to be something that would take a long time to sort out - over a couple of seasons or so at this level - but Turner seems to have found an excellent formula so far, so soon into the season. Obviously it's something they must have been working extremely hard at on the training ground as priority no 1 - the previous lack of discipline and shape required to keep home teams out has been identified as the major flaw in Pools' side and has been addressed as the main task in hand this season. Places like Huddersfield, Leeds, Charlton and Norwich are going to be the ultimate test (especially given the fact that officials will step in and help those clubs if they can't get the breakthrough by themselves).

At the moment I feel a lot more confident about us not having to write off virtually 18 games a season, purely because the team couldn't play away from home, and consequently putting itself under enormous pressure when the home games come along. Picking up points away will allow the team not to fell that pressure at the Vic as intensely as they have done the past couple of campaigns.

Some of you thought that. Others thought better.

I didnt realise that you thought 1 point out of 3 games was so good. Dont bother replying to me, you have joined POK on my ignore list. Nothing but digs at other posters in every post. Getting rather tiresome. yawn1

He's right though Tree. With 10 brand new players it was always going to take time for them to adjust/gel. Couple that with the fact that we were given 5 extremely tough league games to start with, MANY people thought that there was a fair chance of us having 0 points after 5 games. We have 4 with the 5th game still to come. We are looking MUCH better in defence.

Of course you will have expected us to have maximum points at this point in order to maximise the moaning opportunities

He seems to be a vast improvment on whats gone before, that'll do for now. Lets just hope the millhouse moaners don't get to him when he does drop a bollock.

Every goalkeeper makesa mistake sometime in their career, as long as he makes more saves than mistakes i think he will be fine

I think we only had 3 clean sheets away from home all season last time around so 3 in 1st 3 demonstrates a resilience forming that did not exist previously
