Given I live in Kent these days and pools have been superb in offering my son the opportunity to be the mascot at Gillingham on saturday.

Tomorrow he goes to a trial, if that is such a thing for a 8 year old with the Chelsea academy, but I have told him the last person to make an impression was a kneeling Joe Joe Joe 'Iron lung' Allon celebrating his debut in front of the shed to score his one and only goal as a sub.

Keep the faith everyone and support the team and players see you all saturday - my son will have his boots and I am hoping the club can register him in time, but sadly not as quick as Usain Bolt!

Any way a quiz question who is the quickest player currently at Pools and in the past ?

Gabbiadinni was definitely Pool's representative when they did the 100m sprint on Saint & Greavsie.

Fasters players I can think of are either Mackay or Andy Macavoy.

Liddle today and maybe everyone is right about Istead I know Sunderland were scared of him and put Arca & their left back on him when he came on the FA cup, but for the more senile amongst us how about Derek Hampton or David Spike Robinson

John Linacre.
Must question Ball to Feet's apparent decrying of John Smart - he was a good man who loved football and tried his best for the club, with no help from some and blatant opposition from others. I believe he paved the way for Harold Hornsey, who in turn paved the way for IOR.
