Tab Ends!!!!

I see in The 'East Durham' Mail that quite a few people have been fined for dropping Tab Ends eh!?!? :roll:

Now I know it is Littering....which I deplore*....but fecking'ell....some have been fined....and I quote*....

£175 fine
£80 Costs
£15 Victim Surcharge

Fecking staggering I think like!!!! :evil:

Fly Tippers don't even get fined that much do they????

In the same edition someone got fined....and I quote*....

£75 for using a mobile whilst driving....potentially that person could have killed someone!!!! banghead

BTW....the costs for that case came to £400 like....but it doesn't hide the fact that dropping a Tab End is seen as more serious in this fecking Town/Country!!!! :evil:

Another point....who the feck does the 'Victim Surcharge' go to....and what the feck is a 'Victim Surcharge' and who the fecking'ell was the 'Victim' in dropping a Tab End????

PS....all of the offences were commited in 'Queens Parade'....is that somewhere in/off the Shopping Centre????

If so....why don't they walk just the few yards to the Corner House/Bar One and fine all the Lazy Work Shy Bastard Benefit Frauding Tvvats who are drinking in there and dropping their Tab Ends allover the pavement outside all afterfuckingnoon when all 'Decent' people are at work????

I've edited the original post....I put the fine as....£115 instead of £175....which it is!!!! :shock:

Out of interest, just looked up the fines for fly tipping:
"Fly-tipping fines are up to £20000 and/or 6 months' imprisonment. Fines are unlimited if the case goes to the Crown Court or up to 2 years' imprisonment."

That's of course if they ever get caught.

A victim's surcharge is basically " a service that is designed to assist victims and is provided or funded by the government"

What I know of it that now has a hole in it, not enough money, so it is being added to some fixed penalties, like littering and speeding, a previous speeding fine would be £60 , it could now be £75 with a victim surcharge, though when originally introduced it was designed to aid "victims". A "victim" was an individual who suffered an offence, That was physical or mental injury or lost money(wages) as a result of the offence.

Or emotional trauma and is an individual against who the offence was against, with respect to an individual against who the offence was carried out,( family etc) but didnt include anyone in the justice system, if the offence occured while he/she on duty.

So how dropping "fag ends" can have an actual victim is beyond me.

It is now a hidden tax which goes into the victim surcharge fund as that has a "hole". Lack of money in it as I said earlier.

It may have changed and I may be wrong
