Greavesy proved he should still be on the telly at half time. He's got far more charisma and he has far more off than the fooking Jamie Redknapps of this world.

He told it as he saw it and he was correct, those 11 squad players from 66 would have beat Andorra tonight!!

Well of course they would Andorra were part-timers and 66 team were world cup winners, what is your point though?

That a couple are dead, it was the eleven who didn't play in the World Cup final, and most them are pushing 70 and above yet they'd have still turned them over.

Or to put it another way, they'd have beaten them even today, at megayears old.

I've read quite a few footballers autobiographies and Jimmy Greaves was by far the best. At least he has lived a bit and from the clips I have seen of him was a great footballer. I agree wholeheartedly he should still be on the television somewhere - but he's not quite sycophantic enough I guess....

I used to like Greavesy but I thought that he was on a self promotion trip yesterday. Once the interviewer cottoned on he dropped him like a stone.

There was an opportunity for him to act the elder statesman of football and contribute a few wise words on the medals and the England team and he blew it big time, I was thinking during the interview ffs shutup you tw@t. No wonder he's not on telly anymore.

Of all of those who got their World Cup winners medals yesterday, the one I havea lot of time for is Jimmy Armfield.

He's an excellent co-commentator/analyst on 5Live, and a great sevant, and supporter, of Blackpool.
