This will be the first season for 12 years that i will not renew my season ticket and it has been a hard fight to resist.

Unreal. Why? sctatchinghead
i have no faith in Turner/West as managers ive waited for IOR to announce a new manager if he is not announced by the time the early bird prices stop then i will not renew as will the 4 mates that stand with me.

Payment by results the more they win the more i,ll go but if Turner/West are in charge it will be a bleak season.

Don't know if it's because I'm the eternal optimist, why else would I still be supporting Pools after 46 years, but I'm really looking forward to this season. Certainly more than under Mogadon Wilson, last pre season.

edit: stupid mistake.

I kinda agree with Mouldy about West/Turner. I have no faith in them but I must say im impressed with the people Turner has signed/is looking at so far and im kinda excited for next season. The one good thing is that at least we know Hodcroft will give his bum chum all the money that is available for wages/transfers etc.

However i think its a disgrace how quiet IOR have been regarding whats happeneing with the managers position? Yeah were all assuming Turner has it, but why no announcment? Surely Turner himself wants to know whats going on? I can understand people wanting to know who is in charge before they part with their hard earned.

However the transfers etc has encouraged me to buy my ticket despite the fact I think Tubby will be in charge.

You are right IOR are the clubs life blood but they do not give a fook about the fans sadly and 5 fans not buying season tickets is nowt to IOR they are bucked out so maybe you right they dont want me as a fan so fook them.

but 5 fans to any club won't make much difference really will it?

5 fans not buying a season ticket at say rochdale, huddersfield, crewe, wolves, burnley, sheff united etc etc

What do you want ior to do come to your house and beg you to buy one?

I have every faith in Turner.

I just think a season ticket is a waste of money.

i think it depends on your situation. I WILL be at every home game next season guaranteed. So by buying a season ticket for the town end will save me a hundred quid compared to paying on the gate. Hardly a waste of money is it? If you cant take up the early bird offer or you are going to miss 3 or more home games then fair enough dont get one

Now I'm exactly the opposite of you. I think the season ticket, with early bird, is a good offer. While on the other hand I'm still not convinced Turner is the right man for the manager's job this time round.

I respect him highly for what he achieved with Pools' first time round and always will, but his managerial record post leaving us for Sheff Wed is , in my opinion , poor.

having said that, if he is the incumbent at the start of the season, he will get my support, as all manager's and players do. I want to be wrong I really do, but at this moment in time I'm not convinced. But we all know if anyone can get money out of IOR for players and to build a decent squad then Turner is the right man.
