Everyone knows that footballers get far to much money but this takes the biscuit. Ronaldo if he isnt sold to Real by the end of the month will recieve £26million as the previous president of Real promised him he would be at the club.

There's no way they'll pay him 26m for not signing him. There would need to be some sort of contract in place, not just a promise.

From a quick read of that, it appears to me that a verbal agreement is only any good if the subject or purpose of the agreement has been carried through and completed, and the dispute is about the terms and conditions of any necessary remuneration.
