Post subject: Rangers v Dundee Utd ticket scam
PostPosted: Fri May 22, 2009 4:08 pm
Rangers go to Dundee United this week where they look likely to win the
SPL. Dundee United could only give Rangers 5000 tickets and these were
sold out almost instantly. There were a lot of disappointed Rangers
fans. So......

A new poster signs up on a Rangers forum and makes a few non-descript
posts. No one pays him any real attention. He then starts a thread
saying;

Quote:

If you want tickets for next week's title decider away to Dundee
United, read here...

Since the away allocation for Rangers fans of 5 thousand is long sold
out.

Tickets for the home end is the only solution.

But as we all know, if your not on Dundee United's official
club/supporter database then you won't even be able to buy tickets for
the home end.

Here's what to do..

Phone up the club shop. And ask to buy a pair of Dundee United kit
socks.

Don't even mention tickets for Sunday. They might become suspicious.

Then when they take your sock order, personal details and process your
payment your details will then be stored on thier system.

Give it a few hours until there's a shift change, phone up again and
order your home tickets for the Rangers match and because of your sock
order, you will be on their system and you will get your match tickets.
It's perfect lads.

Turns out, there's no such database and all these Rangers fans have
ended up with hundreds of pairs of Dundee United socks and no match
tickets. The poster was an Aberdeen fan.

 AGGI!!!!!

The joke is on the Teuchter (Aberdeen fan)

Only 3 Rangers fans went through with it and alerted the rest to the "wind up" with all of them cancelling the order!

Also, wearing ORANGE socks would be right up every Rangers fan's street. I might order a pair but i'll wait until July 12th when they are back in stock

Sour grapes from the Dons who haven't won fook all in 20 odd years and straw clutching from the Taigs once again.

Now whose laughing?

Scootish football = two bald men fighting over a comb

And when they get bored of fighting over a comb, they can kick each other to death I suppose

I probbaly just dont understand, but what the fook as a local footy match in Scotland, got to do with thick fookin paddies in Belfast?

And why are soooooooo many Pools fans obsessed with two daft fookin teams in Scotland?

Are half of us born in bastad Glasgow or summit?

I bet you werent, yet none of you obsessed with this shit, support Alloa, or Brechin City, or Stenhousemuir?

You are not much more than the equivalent fans that follow Manure.  bbolt

What?? So you're not going to buy a Season Ticket for Pools because of someones opinion on the ridiculous Sectarian shite associated with Scottish Football?? sctatchinghead

Barmy.

As probably one of the very few practising Roman Catholics on this board, I wouldn't lower myself by getting involved in this type of rubbish. Scottish football is a joke. I can SORT of understand people getting hyped up about it up there, but for it to make a difference in Hartlepool?? sctatchinghead

Let's get it over with now. Let Celtic and Rangers into the Premiership. They'd both be relegated within 2 yrs, and live their existances out in the middle of the Championship alongside Plymouth and Preston North End.

So just because you can't understand it, it doesn't mean no-one else thinks differently. Most people have "other" teams passed down from fathers or grandfathers and with Rangers and Celtic this is certainly the case. I know of at least 40 regular Pools fans who have Rangers as a second team and a fair few Celtic as well.

As for them not surviving in the Premiership, they'd be in the bottom half for the first couple of seasons then once the finance kicked in they'd both be top ten without a doubt. Let's be honest, when was the last time Preston and Plymouth were in a European final?

Dibble got it right with the first five words of his post "I probably just dont understand"

See. I knew I was right.

Seriously though, I genuinely dont get it.

My boss is a proud glaswegian and is Rangers crazy. I sent him a text after they won the league. He was at that point too drunk to text back.

But like I said, he is Glaswegian. None of us are.........are we?

So I can only assume a lot of people side with one or the other due to some religious bigotry. Or am I still wrong?

Its interesting though.
