How good is the A-League? A comment on the Australia 4-4-2 website says:

"Football365 actually had a few articles about how bad some of the bottom Championship sides are. It's still probably better than the worst the A-League has to offer, but not by much."

So is the A-League better than the Championship?

Because I didn't think it was.

And also: "Name me better players in League One than Culina or Endo. "

Can anybody think of any?

He's going home and he's probably getting a fair whack for it, at the same time he's probably going to be one of the best players in that league.

Bit of a no brainer from his perspective.

Porter is wasting his talent.

But its his choice.

he stated somewhere that he is shocked that he hasn't been called up to the National team, he wants to be in their World Cup squad. Best place to be noticed for the national team is in Australia itself. Good luck Joel, hope you get to the World Cup mate, i will be cheering you on all the way

You can't blame him if it means one last shot at a world cup, he's clearly not getting noticed enough for his liking in league one.

The standard over there is poor.

But we don't know his circumstances, he could be home sick, family could be etc etc

Loads of reasons.

Well over the last few seasons iv backed Joel for top scorer nearly all of them. Maybe next year will be the time it comes good?

I went to Sydney vs New Zealand when I was over there for the cricket a couple of years back. The standard is crap, I think Dean Gordon was playing for New Zealand. Pools would piss it over there.

Aloisi is one of the league's best players, but he's probably on the same level as Richie Barker
