Will be enough to stay up.

It will put us 5 points clear of them with a goal difference of at least 11 goals on them, and only 4 games for both teams to play.

Crewe would have to therefore win 2 of those and as they have Oldham(A)
Cheltenham(H)
Stockport(A)
Leicester(H)

I personally cant see 2 wins from them.

Just an opinion but a win on Saturday, should be enough, I have said for a while I reckon a team will stay up with less than 50 points this season, hopefully it will be us, but 3 points on Saturday will put us a long way towards it.

We must not believe for a minute that a win at Crewe will suffice. Things too often go the opposite way to what you expect.

they haven't won for five matches. A win will almost see us safe.

Pools will lose.

Crewe will be tougher than the home game against Scunny, I can see us drawing at Crewe and winning against the Scunts and them 4 points should be just about enough for us.

we'll lose to Crewe but we'll beat Scunthorpe in a thriller 3-2. We'll routinely go two goals behind at Crewe inside the first half hour with their first two attacks, after having wasted two great chances ourselves to take the lead. Then there'll be a lull in the proceedings, and we'll score with ten minutes left. We won't really create another chance and they'll hold out comfortably 2-1.
Against Scunthorpe we'll fall behind, go 2-1 up, then 2-2, then go 3-2 up and they'll have a million chances with the ball bobbling about our goal line, defenders unable to kick or head the ball away more than 10 yards adding to the intense pressure, the ball at one stage will bounce along the top of the cross bar and cause a mad scramble underneath the cross bar when it comes down again. They'll miss three open goals and generally wonder why they haven't won 10-3.

If we beat Crewe we should be safe, I agree. But this is Pools. We could beat Crewe then lose the last four games and go down.

But be honest now. How many of you actually think we will beat Crewe? And what justification do you use for thinking it?

Crewe might not be great, but like Crewe always do, they play neat tidy football, at pace.....just what we cant cope with. I would take a draw now.

You can travel down there full of enthusiasm, but as usual, I expect us to start brightly, but like Parmo says, be suddenly 2 goals down. Out of nothing. It just happens.....all the bastad time.

I suspect we wont have prepared properly, and that Turner will just pick the same team....except for the keeper. banghead

Turner probably thinks we have turned the corner now after thrashing Hereford bbolt

It would be foookin brilliant if we could beat Crewe, but.......well.....heres hoping. confised
