I dismissed Google Chrome because it doesn't have a proper installer (I have specific places I put things and there was no way to put it there).

Since Chrome is open source anyone can take the code and develop it. That's what these guys have done. So if you want Google Chrome without Google, here it is!
It's a bloody fast browser if you prefer speed over features.
