When a cup game is drawn do you think we should bother with replays or just go to extra time or even just go to penalties ?

I kinda like the idea of straight to penalties as it means a little club only has to hold out for 90 minutes to have a chance of a giant killing, although a replay does give 2 paydays.I would certainly scrap extra time, especially on a freezing cold night match that was obviously gonna stay goal less.

Bollox, its missed off straight to penalties, can someone with the power add that option for me,cheers

Ideally I'd like to go back to "the good old days" when there was unlimited replays (iinc. extra time in each replay) and no shoot-outs.

I agree with ginge.

Surely your avatar should show your big yellow spots?

I was sure that you used to also have yellow spots when you used to knock about with Noel?

I agree with Mr R, it was better when The Cup was won properly by winning games rather than a penalty shoot out lottery.

You dribble on the way to your car in the morning and then heavily at dinner times.

No mate. I have a long-standing problem of passing wind between the front door and my car, first thing on the morning. It's bad gas, I bleached a passing cat.

Masturbation cures the dinner dribble problem.

Try parking further from the house and going to work in boxing gloves.

Extra time is worthwhile like although these days more teams play for penners if a game goes to extra time.

I think one replay is fine.
No replays at all is a cop out. More than one replay and it starts getting boring, not to mention fcuking your match schedule up big time.
If the little clubs have a problem holding out longer than 90 minutes they should score an extra goal before 90 minutes comes. They're not little for no reason.

Having said that I'd like to see extra time replaced by something similar to what they do in American football, where each team gets the ball in turn and the first to score without reply wins.

As an example you could make the possession an indirect free kick from 30 yards out and let play continue for, say, 15 or 20 seconds or until a goal is scored (whichever comes first, and the goal could be by either side if the opponents manage to gain possession).

Unlike penners it's still football, you'd see more action than with two knackered teams playing a normal 30 minutes football, it's less radical than the golden goal, and I reckon it's much more likely to produce a "proper" goal.

Sepp Blatter thinks removing players from the pitch every five minutes is the answer. It would end up like three pots in!!

Sepp Blatter is a fucking idiot. They should have replays until the tie is won. I'm sure one year Leeds played Arsenal about 5 times before there was a result. 1992ish. That was a 3rd round replay on the same day as the normal 5th round.......
