Northampton boss Stuary Gray speaking about the dust up on his bench....

Quote:
"Ryan was frustrated and disappointed, as we all were. We dominated the game possession-wise but gifted them a couple of goals,"

I wouldn't believe the BBC possesion thing one iota.

Northampton certainly had more of the ball than us but did nothing with it. How many saves did ALB make all night? That says it all. We scored two, Joel fired one just wide after about 35 mins, Mackay forced their keeper into a good save which the ref gave a goal kick for, Mackay went through and should have done better by squaring it to Henderson, Henderson forced their keeper into a good save over the bar. We easily created the better chances and I never once felt worried about them getting back in the game.

The two goals weren't gifts at all, we opened up their defence far too easily admittedly for the first but the second was a very well taken goal from Joel and Monky.

I thought the Cobblers were very poor - their manager is deluding himself or trying to justify his position to his chairman.
