Didn't see this one coming at all!?

Not sure what my reaction to it is!

I presume street parties are currently being organised in some parts of the town, but on the face of it he did a good job at Pools and has probably went at the right time.

Good luck Danny Wilson.

thats it. when you read the statement it says he has left. that indicates he walked out.

However, turner is now in charge on a temp basis. will this be a good thing?

will the attendances go up now he has gone. after all people were saying that they will NOT return until he goes? will fans come back to show more support.

whichever way we look at it, it doesnt prepare us well leading into a pact xmas period now does it?

Think he's left at the right time, Took us as far as he thinks he can. Good luck to him, Didnt hate him as a Pools manager. People have short memories, He got us promoted breaking club records at the same time!

Left allowing Pools time to get a replacement in and the possibility of improving the squad in January too

Interesting thing is that Turner has been given the temp job and not Butterworth. I'd say it indicates that Danny has walked for another job and Butts has gone with him.

Well, honestly, I can't believe what has just happened.

I hope he's quit to join another club, because if he's quit because the boadr aren't happy with mid-table at Christmas, then he would be idiotic to resign. He's a great promotion-winning manager....correction, was!!!!

You can't say that yet kent cos we can't see into the future, we could get a new manager in, get promoted and take over the world.

Wait 6 months to make that judgement.

I'm really close to having to tell you to shut the fook up.

A football manager has left his job, nobody has died. It happens all the time settle down lad! Managers come and go but we'll still be here.

Adrian Durham on Talksport has just used the word 'sacked'.

Our manager's "left" right before Christmas when we're midtable, before a big FA Cup game against Premier League opposition.

"Sacked"? I bet Hodcroft's done it again a la Cooper.

This shouldn't have happened today if he was going to get the sack. I was happy giving him until the summer. We weren't expecting this. Nobody was talking after Saturday that he might quit and now he's gone.

I'd be very surprised if he was sacked for footballing reasons, apart from signing Kevin Kyle!!!
We have beaten a premiership team in the league cup, floating about mid table and are in 3rd round of the f.a.cup. He's done quite well I think considering the attendances have been shite and he's had foook all to spend.
So....... maybe a financial move, Turner to take over on a permanent basis with Barron as his assistant, could be a lot worse.
But some people will have the usual dreams of Shearer and many other top flight players who could probably never cut it as a manager.
Lets give Turner a chance and see how we go.
