Post subject: Some info about cup match.

Hi all. I dont know if this is the right forum to post about football stuff but I am just wondering can you give me some info about getting tickets to the cup match against Stoke. I am over in Newcastle for New years and as a fan of Irish side Bohemians am missing out on the buzz of watching live football at the moment as our season is over and want to catch a game. Sunderland are playing aswell but I personally hate the way all the Irish people started supporting them when Quinn and Keane got involved so would much rather go to watch a proper match with a good atmosphere. I was just wondering if you guys could inform me of how to get tickets, will it sell out? Whats the place in the ground with best atmosphere? How would we get from Newcastle to Hartlepool and how much are tickets? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

if you will be driving then visit theaa.com and get a route planner. down a1 to sedgfield turn and follow the a689 all the way into hartlepool to the marina or town centre. the ground is central to both the marina and town centre.

I personally would get the train and have a drink. the train runs every hour direct from newcastle central to Hartlepool. I know one of my pals is also coming down from newcastle to our game and is staying for a drink. more details can be found at www.thetrainline.com

you could contact the club for tickets as there is a strict code of practice (which is stupid) to get tickets. if you are to stand on the terraces it will cost you £18, a seat will be £20. you would be best going for a terrace ticket in either the town end or cameron's brewery terrace.

hope all clears your questions

If you're a genuine football fan you'll be very welcome, so long as you support Pools on the day and thereafter.
I doubt the game will be a sell out and you should get tickets for the Town End or Mill House terrace for the authentic cup tie atmosphere. I would think that both home seated areas will be sold out.
Trains from Newcastle to Hartlepool run hourly at half past the hour. It takes about 45mins.(and on the hour returning)
Victoria Park is less than 5mins from the station. There are plenty of pubs to choose from before the game (don't forget that it's a 1-o-clock kick-off). The best pub for a pre match pint is undoubtably The Mill House and there are others around Church Street/Victoria Road and on the Marina. All within 5mins walk of the Vic.
The ticket office is 01429 272584 Ext 2.
Good luck and hope you can make it and have a great visit.

Fair play lads thats great info. Well be getting the train anyway and hopefully will be in Hartlepool well before ko for a few pre match beers. Two of us are diehard Bohs fans so we would be genuine Irish football fans unlike all the plastc paddies that support Man U and Liverpool, and we are looking forward to seeing a good traditional FA cup match in a proper football ground. Just on the match tickets should we try and buy them now or will we definitely be grand getting them on the day of the match? Terrace tickets would suit us best as we want to enjoy the atmosphere as best as possible.

Tickets might be suddenly in more demand after today's events!
