Was the draw before the match ? sctatchinghead rage

I thought it was after. BUGGER. rage

That's a draw and a half that is - Leiston, in rural Suffolk I believe is a very very small ground for a very, very, very small team.

I think I might go to that if we get through and Leiston beat Fleetwood.

If we get through, I hope it's Fleetwood - closer to home and the ground looks quite good looking at their website. In other words there's more chance of actually getting in. Fleetwood should win in any case.Let's hope Pools can fulfill our side of the bargain.

If we get through our replay and if Leiston win, any Poolies going to Leiston would have to get a bus to Leiston from Saxmundham or even IPSWICH.

Actually, I've just had another look a train to Saxmundham and then a bus/taxi to Leiston would be better.

If we get through...

Right Leiston's ground is a basically a pitch with a white fence round it from what I can gather.

Fleetwood's capacity is 3,497 but this may be reduced to about 2,000 as from what wikipedia says they are doing improvments and a stand may or may not be closed.

Well, it's all very well driving, it's easy for you, but for those who don't drive or can't get a lift, that's one way of getting there.

The only thing is, with all due respect to your team, Fleetwood is a nightmare to get to for ME here in Kent.

Yes we have to beat leiston yet who 3 leagues below gave us a battle at there place and will still be an akward game but i think i,d prefer hartlepool to brighton just in case we were good enough to get a draw as i dont fancy brighton away on a tuesday night :-o

If it rains at Brighton you'll go home pneumonia. We have a wonderful ground and brilliant fans. Brilliant hot dogs and sing a brilliant rendition of Two Little Boys.

Previously living in Blackpool for 5 years, Fleetwood is right next to it, it's pretty much a suburb.
The ground is alright, the town itself is horrible, full of little chav types.
Great draw, hope we get them clappp

Certainly parts of Blackpool are a dump but where isn't.
I lived up South Shore & Also Cleveleys, both are alright.
To be fair, you hit Bispham then Thornton/Cleveleys then Fleetwood without really noticing a change of towns. It's like Seaton to Hartlepool.
It's it's own town, sure, but it might as well be a suburb, they're right next to each other

Leiston...i've been there... oh dear, it takes a lifetime to get to and when you get there you'll wonder why you bothered, the word 'bleak' doesn't do it justice.. it's a bit like Graythorp without the cosmopolitan, cafe society. The continual sea fret adds to the ambience and like Siberia has perma-frost, Leiston has perma-damp.
The main local attraction are the traffic lights and anyone with less than six digits on each hand is regarded with suspicion ... mind you I may of caught the place on a bad day and things may have changed, but October isn't all that long ago. Let's hope it's Fleetwood.
p.s. it features in the crappest places to live book.

Did I hear the commentator say that Leiston are in the 9th tier of the league pyramid?

The only time I've been to Fleetwood was as I passed through doing the last 8 mile or so of the Blackpool Marathon. I didn't really notice its ambience, as I was knackered at the time.

Not much point in playing the replay, just been reading the Brighton forum and the 2nd round game is Leiston Vs Brighton. Oh well it would of been nice to have a decent cup run.

It was on Setanta earlier about a mouthwatering tie between "former F.A Cup finalists" Brighton and the lowest ranked team in the competition. Like when Histon came out of the hat against either Leeds/Northampton.....Northampton weren't even an option in the presenter's voice

Fleetwood vs Pools and Histon vs Northampton it is then?

Goggle satellite images are way out of date, none of the 3 new stands and new Football League standard floodlights are shown. Hope we are fortunate enough to beat Leiston and play you. If we did then manage to give you a game and snatch a draw I certainly don't want a replay at that awful Brighton ground.

Gerry Mandrake you really are a first class Muppet. Clearly you have never actually been to Fleetwood have you. Just repeating the same old Blackpool platitudes about our fine town. The truth is what do you see when you go to Blackpool? . . . well, you see the sea of course. What do see when you go to Fleetwood? . . . you see the sea, the Lake District Fells, The Yorkshire Dales and the lovely Forest of Bowland. Simply wonderful views along our promenade, and Fleetwood is superior in almost every other way to Blackpool.

I'm not biased, . . . I don't mind who beats Blackpool.

Blackpool is a horrible place. I hate it. Never been to Fleetwood, although I'm told there is a Fleetwood Town FC supporter who lives in Hartlepool (found that out this morning from somebody on this thread)

I've never read such rubbish in my life.
I've been to Fleetwood plenty of times, used to play in a 6-a-side league on the pitches next to Fleetwood High, been to Marine Hall loads of times too.
A good mate of mine lived in Fleetwood and I used to visit him regularly, avoiding the endless streams of boy racers and chavs, I've also got a mate who works at the big asda.
Just because it has a few nice views along the prom, doesn't make it a wonderful place to live & as someone who can't stand fish, I can assure you Fleetwood stinks of it.

I've found it absolutely comical the Loids you've been mocking us for only taking 92 fans to Brighton on Saturday. I mean this from the must woefully supported club in the football league. Darlington is a bigger town than Hartlepool by a fair way yet you can't attract 3,000 people for a home match when you are top of the league!! I wouldn't care we consistently take more away than you as well. I'm glad you have found such humour in not many Poolies attending the least attractive cup tie ever at the worst ground in the football league on a totally foul day over 300 miles away!

I fully expect your reply to be devoid of any substance as that would be impossible clearly....
