White Negroes still going eh?

I was at their "last ever gig" bonanza at the studio about 3 years ago, they charged about 6 quid cos of the apparent importance of the night!

felt a bit conned when they turned up in Middlesbrough this summer... complete with Ish staring out a bloke in the crowd and offering him out for a fight! quite funny. i think he was from darlo or something.

I'm off to see the Smyths at the studio, it was great last time - quite sophisticated at the start but by the end everyone was pissed and on the stage, swinging flowers around effeminately. it was mad.

that northumbria reggae festival sounds absolute quality, an all.

I cant afford to do the Boss Sounds Festival - plus I've been to two gigs already this week so its taking the piss a bit.
But I am well jealous...would love to see Lee Perry, Linton Kwesi Johnson et al.
Went to see Rancid on Monday and got very drunk, jumping all over the place. Then last night saw Primal Scream supported by The View. That was a bit disappointing as the sound quality was very poor for both bands.
Swastika Eyes and Country Girl were fantastic but apart from that you could hardly distinguish lyrics from bass from lead from keyboard etc.
Saw The View a few weeks back at the Cluny and they were great, but again sound quality meant they sounded ordinary last night.
30 Nov I'm off to see the Meteors. Got my hair cut to a quiff last week in readiness.
After that I'm not sure. I dont really go a month without seeing someone so might just pick a random band at the Cluny and see what they're like.
Still, really narked about Boss Sounds...

I saw The Magic Numbers on Sunday night and I'm going to a Horace Andy/Lee Perry double header in a couple of weeks.

Forgot about Babyshambles in Boro, another one to add to my list.

If any of you do fancy the Boss sounds reggae on Sunday I am organizing a minibus, gimme a PM & you can have a space on it.

Nick,The White Negroes did Jax just before last Xmas too & theyve done The Studio & Georgian theatre as well this year.
Which Smyths night are you going to ? If its the Friday Ill be playing the tunes, pop up & giz a shout.

MadJohn, that ATP gig sounds a good one.
