Well what can be said about today's performance. Pools started brightly and Porter missed 3 good chances in the first 15-20 minutes. Firing one straight at the keeper and putting 2 over, though they were probably the more difficult chances, the one straight at the keeper, he should possibly have done better with after getting beyond the defence. after that Orient got into the game and began to take over, hitting the bar twice in the first half, though a draw after 45 minutes was probably fair,as both teams had had about the same amount chances and possession.

The 2nd half was nearly all Orient and on that basis they probably deserved to take the 3 points, it was inenvitable that Boyd should score , after being on the pitch for no more than 5 minutes.

Kyle was disappointing again, whether it was due to him taking an early booking is open to discussion. Though the booking was all his fault, as was for dissent in back answering the referee, who I have to saay was poor most of the game, with some decisions confounding most people watching.

No one stood out for Pools and difficult to give a man of the match.

So we begin the long journey back, pointless again after taking 12 points from the last 12, the same old Pools, build up our hopes, to disappoint, but thats what keeps us returning.

The debate has begun , as it seems there not much optimism for going to Brighton next week, after a performance like today's. I might be able to convince my mates to go.

A bigger disappoint is the fact that we're in a coach full of Macckems returning after being walloped at Chelsea, and they can only sing about the mags, O well with bit luck it will fly pass so we dont have to put up with it to much.

Yes. He slid on his knees towards the corner, admittedly not the corner near us. Certainly wasn't a Westwood type celebration.

Boyd celebrated with his own team mates well away from where all the Poolies were. He played well for the short time he was on the pitch.
Kyle was terrible I'm afraid. I thought Ben Clark our best player. Brown did well in the first half but their defence grew in confidence and we did little in the second half. They had many shots, 2 hitting the woodwork - a more skilful side would probably have scored more.

Isnt that the same as the town end singing songs about Darlo all the time.

I wouldnt mind if there where in the same division or only a couple a game but it's seems to be every other song at the minute.

I have to say I found the Mackem fans absolutely laughable in the pub near Kings Cross yesterday evening. They'd just been absolutely humiliated at Chelsea and also lost at Stoke in the week yet all they did is sing songs about beating the 'scum' ect. It sums up the backward thinking of the 'big three' in the North East and explains why they appear content with constant under achievement. For those Sunderland fans the season can end now because they beat an equally shite Premiership also ran outfit in Newcastle.... so,so dull I'd hate to follow one those clubs. It came as no surprise when these idiots started singing the equally irrelevant "No surrender to the IRA". We left the pub after one pint and went somewhere else.

For the record I find Pools fans who constantly sing about Darlo an equal embarrassment, they were out in force at Carlisle. FFS support Pools singing about Darlo has absolutely no relevance, it's the same as winding up stewards and spending 90 minutes trying engage with oppostion fans. That isn't supporting your team.
