I usually go to London matches with me mate who has lived down there for years. Unfortunately he's not about this weekend, so I've got to navigate me own way to Brisbane Road on Saturday.

Can anyone tell me the best way to get there by tube or train? Last year we got a taxi from a station which I can't remember the name of.

Also, what are the names of the away-fan friendly pubs round the ground? We had a few jars in one of them after the game, but I can't remember what it's called.

The Coach and Horses is the one on the High Road near the ground.

I prefer The Birkbeck which is near the tube and not that near the ground (15 minute walk or so): http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/ ... ern/Leyton

Please Pools win my "home" game again this season!

Arrive in London & go to Liverpool Street from there its 2 stops on the central line to Leyton.
Theres a decent wetherspoons at Liverpool street to grab some grub & a pint before heading to Leyton.
Once your at Leyton I think anywheres cool for a pint,Orient fans are pleasant enough so there no real danger of getting attacked

Thanks for the info lads, I'm getting the coach down to Victoria. I'm now meeting up with a mate who is a bus driver based out of the Leyton depot - if he can't keep me right I don't know who will!

I had some good craic with Orient fans last year, even though we thrapped them. Hopefully it will be more of the same.

You want the Victoria line to Oxford Circus (northbound) then the Central line (eastbound) to Leyton. The High Road is just a five minute walk. The ground is just up the street.

I blame the 10 pints of John Smiths. They shouldn't allow people to drink that early in the day!!
I wasn't shouting at Turner - I was shouting at Gary Jones who was getting subbed and had been poor, even I could see he was poor with my double vision!!!
I remember Paul Mullen thought I was shouting at him!!!!
Was anyone else that day we drew 1-1 and we had 2 men sent off before the end of the first half?
Mick Tait managerial genius put Howard at centre half, so obviously he can't play there and ends up with two bookings.

As said by others - it's the Coach & Horses. I've always liked going to the Orient (the Leyton one - never been to Kev's kingdom yet). The supporters are usually good with self depricating, gallows humour.

The only time I have seen any sort of hassle was one season years back the Pools fans thought the ticket prices were too expensive so about 20 of them kicked the gate in and we all piled in there for nowt.

Orient was the first ever ground I spotted ticket touts trying to sell tickets for a Pools match and that was weird as the crowd was around 5,000.

For some reason I also remember Parmo getting shot out. It was when we were really shit, probably late 90's. I'm sure he shouted something along the lines of 'You're all wankers, even fillum star Paul Mullen' as it was just after he'd been on football AM.

I'm sure it was Rob Style who sent two of our players off when we had the two players sent off. Unbelievable refereeing that night.

Orient was always very expensive, it used to be about 15 quid in the mid nighties so the fact its only 20 quid now is quite surprising.

It was 1998, February - Denny Ingram & Ian Clark were sent off, Ian Clark also scored we lost 2-1. In the October of the same year, a Saturday this time, we also had 2 players off Stevie Howard & Gus DiLella. They had a player sent off as well, Craig Midgeley scored from the spot for us.

Wasn't the 4-3 game the one where Brian Honour got the injury that kept him out for a year.

I remember going to that match with MonkeyHarris & Micky Bianco, in Mr Bianco's Ford Capri

It pissed it down, we all got stinking colds and if I remember correctly, we played Arsenal the following week in the cup and also got hammered off them
