If you can't be bothered reading below the main points are:

1) Bad defending.
2) Team looks deflated for first 70 minutes.
3) Kyle is a clown.
4) Did Wilson tell them to change the way they played or did the players do it themselves?
5) Great peformance last 20 mins.
6) Players looked over the moon to win.

We conceded the first goal due to bad marking. ALB was shouting at his players and organising well trying to organise them, despite all of that we conceded a sloppy goal. Were they listening to him?

The defending wasn't exactly great for our second either. It's an all too familiar story, the best way I can some it up is by saying it was one of those standard goals that Pools concede.

Anyway...the first half was certainly entertaining from a Pools perspective, but in the wrong way. Kevin Kyle's clown shot was so pathetically bad that the people around me started to laugh. He also missed a sitter of a header. In the first half he did nothing that contributed positively to our performance, nothing, zilch. We have Michael Mackay on the bench, I am fairly certain Mackay would have at least contributed something positive to our performance. If we sign him it and he continues to play like this it will be suicide.

At half time, I tried to work out a recent performance that was worse than the one we'd just made in the first half. I could only come with Hereford in the FA Cup last year.

The team looked completely deflated and I thought we were in for a mauling. At this point Porter, Clark and Monkhouse were our three decent playetrs. Clark was winning the ball and looked like he cared. Monkhouse and Porter were our only attacking threat. Then Wilson took Porter and Monkhouse off. I was gobsmacked. Out of all the players to sub I wouldn't have subbed those two.

At this point I was told after the game that a “Midget Mafia Out” banner appeared.

Fortunately replacing Monkhouse with Robson worked rather well as he injected a lot of pace and ran their right side ragged. Foley on for Porter didn't really work out though.

At this point we stopped hoofing the ball up to Kyle and started passing the ball on the floor. We know who was responsible for the substitutions but Who was responsible for the change of tactics? Did Wilson tell them to stop lumping it up to Kyle or did the players decide to play it their way?

I don't for a second believe Wilson told them to stop lumping the ball up to Kyle otherwise he'd have taken him off. He should have definitely taken Kyle off as in his own words I believe he said he was “fucked”. Well I was a bit fucked off that he'd done fuck all.

Robson was immense and after a run down the left, he set up Sweeney. Then moments later he smashed one in from 30 yards. Walsall began to fall apart and a terrific cross from Sweeney found Brown who headed home and suddenly we found ourselves 3-2 up.

ALB made a good late save to make sure we gained all three points.

The players really wanted to win this match and they decided to go out and win. They celebrated like they'd won the world cup and it was nice to see. The players in the last 20 minutes were very good and looked like a side capable of doing well. The players before then looked the complete opposite. It was a complete transformation.

The players showed in the last 20 minutes that they have some desire. That is the biggest positive we can get from this game.
