That would put even Mother Teresa's works with the sick and dying of Calcutta firmly into the shade.

True, but don't forget that compared to the average loid, POK would be classed as a very intelligent person and probably worshipped as a God....but only in Darlo

I'm here Sussex, how are you ?

I haven't posted in the last couple of days in order to concentrate on getting myself settled at university.

I would like to announce that I now know ladies and gentlemen, that I have become a proper student....within eight days of me going there I now have the infamous Freshers Flu, though I had a dry tickly cough yesterday but thought that was due to singing myself hoarse on Saturday, then it exploded into a full-on cold during my first lecture (FR300 French Post A Level) with Dr. Tregouet. I thought being my first lecture I was going to be in a lecture hall as big as our stand at Cardiff, in the end it was like the old away end at Layer Road, only 60 people. The multiplex cinema we've got is a much better and more plush lecture theatre.

If anybody asks what the difference is between lectures and seminars, seminars are held in what would look to us in our schooldays as in normal classrooms.

I joined the my college's Junior College Committee on Tuesday - one girl introduced herself as the president of the LGBT Society. She said "We're a society specially for gay people etc...but anyone can come along to the club on Tuesday night". I thought, "Would anyone want to go to the LGBT Society meetings if they weren't "any of the above" or interested in what LGBT people like?".

All in all, I absolutely love it down there. There's no lectures on a Wednesday afternoon for sports fixtures (I was going to try out for the College Football teams but illness, and the fact I needed a new pair of trainers, put paid to that.

I see what people say about students and daytime TV. I was finished by 1pm on Tuesday and later a very short intoductory lecture at 10:25am this morning. I haven't got to go in til 1pm tomorrow and finished by three. You tend to notice these things when for seven years you had to work from 9am until 3:20pm. Wow !

There's quite a few bars actually. One I think in each of the colleges.

Our College bar looks like a hip sort of place. Mungo's it's called.

By the way an apple juice in there will cost you £1.40.

The talent's alright there actually. One energetic fit girl tried to persuade me to take part in a taekwondo taster session during Fresher's Week last week. Let me just say I didn't need much persuading.
