I don't know if you received one but last week I got a letter from the council saying they where 8 plots available on Chester rd allotments, by all accounts there in a bad way though I’ve not been yet to have a look

they are in a fookin shocking way, and the council are taking the piss. the one we were allocated has no fence on two sides and will cost a fcukin fortune to sort. be very careful before you agree to one :evil:

Chester Road is too far out for me anyway!!!! confised :evil:

I got a letter the other week saying I'm 50 odd in line for one at Summerhill....this was after I'd been up there the week before and at least 3 that I could see were more or less derelict!!!! :evil: :evil:

I'll be taking some photos soon as evidence!!!! confised :evil: confised

can roundup build cheap secure fences :shock:

or should we just pile the carpets up so the chaws can't get in and nick our chickens ? :evil:

Didn't our esteemed MP say in his Mail column the other week that if there are more than 6 or 8 people in the queue for allotments the council are obliged to provide more, and that it is in his remit to ensure that they do? Surely this obligation would also cover fencing them off to make them useable?

If that is the case how come there are 50+ people on the waiting list and the ones being offered are derelict?

Maybe letters and phone calls are in order?
