You're spot on - credit to the players and the management team - we more than matched them for fitness and commitment. In fact they looked more tired than we did at the end. Every player played well - the three subs gave us a boost. Matty Robson gave their full back a torrid time and Foley and Barker linked up very well. Our central pairing of Jones (best game yet for Pools) and Liddle were exceptional. It would be difficult to pick a man of the match but I would probably plump for Gary Liddle. He worked his socks off as usual and did fantastic in harrying their centre half which led to our first goal. Mowbray said we were a very hard working team before the match and we certainly didn't disappoint him!

Fantastic lads, keep it up clappp
