Planning permission to block pave, ffs whatever next. As long as there is access to man holes etc i cant see the problem.

It's a fact, it's one of the contributing causes in local flooding... nowhere for the water to go as the natural drainge ie the garden, is paved over to accomodate the cars.

I thought the sand and dolomite (hopefully) underneath would act as a good enough drain. Oh well whatever will be will be, another money screw for the local authorities IMO.

A lot of them have started sealing the blockwork for asthetic purposes, overdo it and seal the joints as well were the waters supposed to run into.

Its not the Sealing that makes them waterproof-its the Sliica sand that is brushed/wacked into the joints that prevents water from penetrating through the surface
