Its been pretty much cleared up that they are not in any kind of trouble at all, infact making a fair whack of pre-tax profit. RHA have just cleared that one up for us.

Not sure how the rumours have spread accross the country as quick as they did mind!

310k profit on 230m turnover on their last set of accounts. ALso their current credit rating is 250k. Not a company that looks in trouble. The only bad mark for a haulage firm is that their murder count is well down compared to the competition.

I wouldn't sell them a box of matches on that rating without hostages.

You seem as though you know what your doing, ive just looked at Darlingtons Net Assets i got £1.8 million. surely their stadium is worth more than that??

Not looked but the important word is NET. Assets minus liabilities = net assets.

I've just had a quick look and total assets are 1,864,647 whilst total liabilities are 4,359,236. This makes the net worth of Darlington FC -2,585,894. Sounds about right!

I don't know what they bought the stadium for, there was a lot of smoke and mirrors over that but either way its obvious that Houghton is bankrolling the thing otherwise it would be in recievership.
