I was trawling through some old programmes looking for something the other day and this one jumped out at me.

It was Loids v Pools 19/02/02 1-1 Tinks, you know the one with the the man himself adorning the front cover, clenched fist and THAT badge ready to be kissed.

I went to the article on page 15,Ian Clark talks to Alan Bennett and after the usual woffle on these things there was a fans question section and this was one of them.

John Rooke wanted to know if Ian would kiss his Darlo badge if he scored on Tuesday? rolfl

IC replies

"I never kissed my Hartlepool badge so I don't think I'll be kissing my Darlington one.I don't mean to be detrimental to Darlington but I'll just be happy to score. I've played for three different league clubs and I've never kissed a badge yet.I'll give my all and hope that I'll score but as for kissing the badge that's not my scene"

So just when did the habit come from Mr Clark and have you really wrote a book on the subject. bbolt rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl

The question from John was quality but the answer had me creased.  rolfl rolfl

Who can forget the torrid time us Poolies gave him at the white elephant stadium DarLOW rezziez v Pools rezzies, he scored infront of us and celebrated as if he'd scored a cup final winning goal he even gave it the good old hand cupped to his ear hole, and yours truly responded... "Loughlin will still give you 3 out of 10 in tomorrow's Echo!"
If I remember rightly ElvisCG also distributed a fair amount of abuse in the direction of the Ginger Ginola aswell as Gary Walter Mitty Shithead!
