Here is a woman who should run for Prime Minister

Written by a housewife in New Brunswick, Canada to her
local newspaper. This is one ticked off lady.

Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001 and have continually threatened to do so since?

Were people from all over the world, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from the nation's capital and in a field in Pennsylvania?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a a few Taliban were claiming to be tortured by a justice system of the nation they come from and are fighting against in a brutal insurgency.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere belief of which is a crime punishable by beheading in Afghanistan.

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Afghanistan come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blows themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the Canadian media stops pretending that their freedom of speech on stories is more important than the lives of the soldiers on the ground or their families waiting at home to hear about them when something happens.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a CANADIAN soldier roughing up an Insurgent terrorist to obtain information, know this:

I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank:

I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed 'special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts:

I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and, you guessed it,

I don't care!!

And may I add:

'Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Soldiers don'thave that problem.'

I have another quote that I would like to add.

One last thought for the day:

Only five defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1. Jesus Christ

2. The Canadian Soldier.

3. The British Soldier.

4. The US Soldier.

5. The Anzacs.

Housewives in New Brunswick should get out more, then they wouldn't spout so much half-baked bilge. New Brunswick is a thousand miles from nowhere and it shows.

the source of the original letter may or may not be a housewife from New Brunswick, but the tone of the letter sums up how a lot of people feel about terrorists, not the wider muslim world. That's how I read it, anyway.

I agree about the bible stuff being ridiculous, like. I don't like religion - ANY religion. Very dangerous stuff, that religion.

Can God move Crewe a bit further east please?
Birkenhead was a tedious trip and I can't see Crewe being any better.

Completely true.

It shows that both sides can be bigoted.

She also reminded me that many people still seem to believe that every Iraqi and Afghan is a terrorist.

Now pay attention PMT. I said that DWFs were 'the opposite' of LLLs. There may be populations in between the two 'extremes'. But obviously they don't live in New Brunswick.

Its incredible that such incredibly ignorant people as this woman exist.
The idea that because the 911 terrorists were Islamic, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were not only justified but virtuous is stoopid beyond belief.
Did the 400 thousand Iraqui civilians who have been killed since the wars beginning ever attack America. Why not destroy the whole of the middle east because they all read the "koran" and not the bible?
If being a lily livered liberal puts me at polar opposites to the stupid bitch who wrote that crap, then thats fine with me.

At last! I've eventually understood the 11/09 terrorists were Muslims.
The sad thing is once a month, regular as clockwork, someone's going to put a post like this up as if they were making a new point.

Her very first words are "Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we?".
No the Canadians are not fighting a war on terror. Shut up bitch. Next please.

[quote="chip fireball"]the yanks have been involved in armed conflict somewhere in the world in 57 of the last 58 years.

As have England, the USSR (by Proxy), France and China......

none of it in the usa though.

So no one has invaded them, no one has invaded the UK in that time frame as well....

they are the biggest arms exporters in the world, and will sell arms to just about anybody who has the cash, including some of the worlds craziest dictatorial regimes.

See Russia, Germany, China, the UK etc etc etc etc

they are the only country in the world to have dropped an atomic bomd on another nation.

Correct, Japan would would of gone on for years and would rather every man, woman and child died before surrendering, how long would WWII of carried on in that scenario?, in addition Japan knew what the USA planned to do, but still refused to surrender. The same amount, if not more, died during the fire bombing of Dresden......

they were the first country to my knowledge to napalm unarmed citizens of a foreign country.

This may be correct, I don't know, so I can't defend them on that point

they were the first country to cluster bomb unarmed citizens of a foreeign country.

Again, This may be correct, I don't know, so I can't defend them on that point

they regularly finance terrorism around the world in the name of democracy, and actually armed both the taleban and saddam hussein for several years.

See Russia, France, Israel, the UK

All I'm simply stating is that the USA is no better or worse then any of the other 'Superpowers' in action over the past eighty years, but people struggle to point out their wrongdoings....

That's the most sensible thing that anybody has said on The Bunker for quite a while.

Do you think that George might be reading?

Ah well, for Tranmere you have to go up, across and up.

For Crewe you have to go up, across and down.

Some daft bastard left some big rocks in the way called the Pennines.

Think it was God. Or was it Muhammad?? Or maybe Buddha?

Nah not Buddha, you put that on toast and smear Marmite on it.

Which all goes to prove that there is no God, because if there was there wouldn't be Marmite or the Pennines, the biggest obstacle to football travel in the country apart from the M1 on a Friday and that bint is talking ranty shite and should be tommed with a knotty prop. In public. Every Tuesday when there's nowt happening.

Spread the word that there is an untapped wealth of oil in the cellar but some terrorists are preventing you from getting at it. Then buy some shares in the arms industry and move well away. Hart village shoud do.
