I've just read Danny Wilson's programme notes from last night and one part totally astounded me;

"Godwin Antwi, in fairness to him, after a lot of uncomplimentary remarks in the press following the Port Vale game, which we were all taken aback by"

I'm sorry but hang on Danny.

I saw his performance described as poor and that he had a nightmare he his marks reflected this. The press are merely reporting on the match they see in front of them, Antwi did have a shocker against Vale, Wilson must have thought this himself as he moved the lad from centre back after about half an hour to be replaced be a midfield player and dragged him off all together later in the game.

He was crap, how could you be 'taken aback' by people telling the truth? We know he's a young but I saw nothing over the top in regards to his performance in the press.

Is this were the not talking the press after last weeks game came from?

I'd rather Wilson showed some backbone and criticised the doils who cheered ironically when the kid was subbed.

It's alright though keep on backslapping we are only one game away from 'the run' that will see us make the play-offs stpid

Yep, I loved it when they had a shot and Antwi could have blocked it but ducked.

I sometimes wished Pools had Iraqi owners, who would beat the bottom of Wilson's bare feet with sticks.

Wilson is the tit that signed antwi on a season long loan when the lad was massively inexperienced. it has been obvious for a very long time that the lad isn't really ready to be consistant in the amount of games he is expected to play and perhaps at this time he isn't quite good enough for league one...

Loan signings should only be made on a short term basis either to cover for injured players or in a view to signing someone on a perminant basis.

it is differant if a player comes to us on loan and is fighting for a contract at his own club or even fighting for a contract here
but few of the loanees ever put them selves out for a club they wont be signing for
if DW had not been in the game so long i would have put it down to beginners bad luck
but he certainly has an eye for the duffers
and we should not be used by a big club to get their players fit no matter what quality they are
especially at the expense of our youth policy which at the moment looks non existant
