A good line up, back to passing attacking football, three well earned points, and now Danny Wilson comes out and shows he sees what we see.....

On Richie Barker, Pools boss Danny Wilson commented:

"He looked very tired on Saturday, he had run himself into the floor, and I felt the other strikers offered us a different type of attack. We were getting bogged down in the midfield and full-back areas and we were taking the long-ball option which was getting predictable.

"Even if he is not starting he is a fantastic player to have on the bench. He was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet."

To a man I don't think there is a person on this board who is critical of Richie Barker, but recently the other players in our side have turned to the long ball in desperation. Last season we mixed it up and look how successful we are.
