i'll try johnny if you remember back to the 2003 rugby world cup the samoans and fijians were hitting players like an american footballer would hit and the governing body of rugby banned that kind of tackling saying its to dangerous.
in rugby a tackle is taking the opponent down by a tackle to the legs in the nfl its a body hitting another and slamming to the floor also banned in rugby at full pelt without the padding it would be rather dangerous.

American 'football'........... an advertiisers dream, a game that flows like frozen treacle...a game with such universal appeal it's only played in the good old US of A and various obscure locations world wide, by the local nerds, who saw it on telly and fancied giving it a go.

I actually played for the Steelers as well and also rugby for Tech.I can honestly say that after playing a lot of Sport including Football in the Northern League, American Football is THE best game to play.It is very hard and believe me you definitely need the padding. My brother used to take the p*ss out of me until I took him training once.He had all the gear on and it took a fortnight for him to recover.......... clappp clappp rolf

to be fair it was a bit like us telling the yanks we will play a premiership game in new york, and then sending them derby versus wigan, sending their reserves, and playing the game on sand.

you had the worst team in the nfl, minus their running back reggie brown, their quarterback trent green, and star, and i use the term loosely, wide receiver chris chambers, playing the most overated team in the nfl.

end result 3 hours of unmitigated dross.

had they sent us the colts and the patriots things may have looked a bit different.
I bet you have the low down on the best team in the Bulgarian Yak Wrestling Confederation...
