I reckon most people were in a turmoil after the match yesterday for all the reasons already mentioned in other posts, especially when we'd gone along expecting something far different, in Mr Maidens' memory. Yet in spite of their own grief and after all the provocations of the game, Ritchie and James still thought to come over to acknowledge the fans after wards.
I'd like to tell them they are a pair of gentlemen, and that it made a difference

Aye but was this only cos they are too soft to get involved in kicking lumps out of each other in the tunnel with the rest of the team????

sorry judge but they were better men for ignoring the squabble and risking a possible ban which would do us more harm

Well I reckon Mr Judge makes a good point.

It was sad to see when it all started how our whole team left Barker to get on with it against about half a dozen of their lot.

Belatedly. As a sort of afterthought. Their lot were straight in, ours weren't.

I think half the Brighton team ought to be on some painful punishment after what went on yesterday, and after what Richie Barker had to put up with in particular. But surely the over-riding thing as regards getting physical was that Mike Maidens' family were present, they'd just lost their son/brother, and can you imagine the effect on them of the fighting etc?

Going by the startlingly jaundiced reaction of some Brighton fans on their main message board, it was Barker who started it.

Apparently he showed disrespect to Brighton by kissing his armband. stpid stpid stpid

If you are easily angered I wouldn't recommend reading their board. It's got some of the most ignorant postings I've seen in a while. They like chip though confised

Have you got a link to their Main Board....I'm feelong TOO happy at the moment!!!! confised
