"Coventry are around £30m in debt"

Does this mean Dimi might come back when they can't afford to pay his wages?

Seriously I've kept an eye on Coventry due to Dimi and I hope they do well and find a buyer.

He wasnt even on the bench last night (They lost 3-0) Deep in the brown stuff indeed

If they don't want him, I'll buy his train ticket home.

I'll chip in too.

ex Premiershit club in big new ground does not equal great career prospects after all, does it? They are only in so much debt because of their "keep up with the Joneses" attitude in that division. They are offering wages to players that they can't really afford, they have no big backer and they are getting , what, 13,000 crowds? Their stadium looks awful with only that many in. Besides, look at Colchester and Scunthorpe - if they can do it, so can we. Dimi could have been part of a Pools team long term getting into the Championship, but he couldn't wait.
Coventry will not appear in the top flight in the next twenty years, if ever again. So in that respect they may well end up long term not much of a better career prospect than HUFC.

Didn't Coventry have mission premiership or something, a plan to go all out to be back in the top flight by 2010 or summit.

Shit or bust springs to mind.

I think they offered about five times the wages we could pay him too, so you can't blame him if that was the case.

That's assuming they'll be able to pay them like.

I remember in a footy magazine a few years back they described Coventry City as not so much sleeping giants, more sleeping dwarves.
