If a Manager such as Cloughie was here he'd have a role for each player and each player would know their role, he'd have took a player like young Robinson from Derby and say "Youngman I want you to boss that particular area of the pitch, pick up that no 7 and not let him get more than two yards away from you, when you get the ball I want you to do this with it, and when out of possession I want you to do that". All of his team mates would also know their individual role, does this not happen now?, what do they practice in training?, to me there's no sign of any preplanning, regardless of the impression given, at the moment it's run around like a headless chicken, get subbed on 65 mins when we are 1-0 down and get sent back to your respective club early when you can't even force your way into the matchday squad, which then poses the question why were they brought in in the first place if they are not being selected for a specific role within the team. Are we the only team in the league who'd be stupid enough to play 3 defensive midfielders in the same team?
