That's what I have said. The gangs preyed on those whose parental control was zero, who had no boundaries. It's not about whether they want to, it's about who was available to be groomed by the gangs.

My comments re Doctors nurses etc was in relation to immigration, not illegal immigration. The numbers coming in by boat in relation to total immigration is very small. Therefore the issues around housing/facilities etc would occur anyway, even if you stop the boats, which by the way we should. And not everyone on a boat is a terrorist/murderer/scrounger. They just happen to be the bogeymen that Governments use to stop us realising they are the main problem.

I know what you don’t like. I’m being practical and I don’t do racism or ignore practicalities of living on an island.
Legal immigrants on visas are working for less money than their counterparts, that’s wrong and I’ve stated it on here twice but no response.
Why are we stripping other countries of their needed medical staff, why aren’t we producing our own.
We are a country who lets our fellow citizens sit on their arse and bring in people from abroad and the EU before Brexit because they can’t be bothered to train enough of our own…the problem is a failure of government and industry.

I see families of ‘recent arrivals’ on Sunday mornings in the Sunday best with the kids going to church…would you rather have them living next door to you than some long term local chav…it’s a no brainer, but we need people coming into the country who are going to buy into this place as their home, not a transient place, but base their life here and adapt.
The illegals are relatively small, but illegals none the less and their undocumented background makes them a liability…I’d be more inclined to accept someone on a dinghy if they had the morals to retain their documentation, rather than someone who has disposed of theirs because that raises all sorts of questions.
