Good player and obviously made the correct decision to advance his career away from zero ambitious HUFC.
Plenty of talk talk which is cheap.

Doubt it had anything to do with the clubs ambition, and would've been more the players ambition. Doncaster are a bigger club by your own standards (almost double our attendances) and he would've been offered more money than we would / could afford. Would expect any young player to choose them over us, similarly with Jamie Sterry.

At the time a few of our players were doing sideway moves to the same division.
Just thought with the cup moneys it would of been cheaper to try n keep hold of our better players than replace them with obviously less talented players.

mind you it did take him awhile to settle there and once had to be happy with a spot on the bench. could be a change in manager there that might have helped him where mccanns predicessors made him look worse than he was.
