Impressed when he came on, some good pressing and looked a handful carrying the ball forward when he got it, expect to see more of him if fit in the coming weeks

Like how on a few occasions took the ball into the corner and got corners out of them.

I said this last week - our strongest 11 has not yet all played on the pitch. Once Dodds is back - maybe even Madine in this setup we will be much better team - unfortunately some wheels are starting to fall off before we even get there. Hoping Parkes isnt out for long as we seen with Lacey and his shoulder injury. What happened to Waterfall ? 2 games too much for him?
desperate for a winger in this side too.

Charman is your winger, Extremely dangerous going forward.

Within 5 games our defence went from Dodds, waterfall,Parkes and Ferguson to Freeman/Stephenson, onarise, Davies and Ferguson. 5 games in and the squad is stretched to its max. We have had absolutely no luck with injuries for the past year or so, what's it down to? Is it just bad luck or something else?!. It's also just sods law we play the best all season in that first 20 mins then find a way to screw it up, couldn't be any more pools than that!

I believe Waterfall was rested yesterday to avoid him playing two games in 3 days.

our CB pairing as good as they are - will not hack a full season unfortunately. Add to that the stupid red cards they will no doubt pick up (which already has happened) - we could ideally do with another CB for me. Left back to swap Fergie with etc...

Charman is a real miss and has buggered DS' plan for sure. Would be nice having 2 good wingers supplying crosses and balls into the box for Madine and Mani D. Paper wise the squad is quality - its just upto DS to find the best 11 and best system to make it all work.

Campbell is a waste and we really need to get him going - Sheron could do with dropping and finding Mancini a real home again in the side. Cannot believe a player like him is benched when clearly hes match fit again.

problem is its hard to see both campbell and mancini playing in the same side in their preferred position especially in a side minus both hunter and or sheron.

I wonder if this winger we are after is from Halifax apparently they have interest in some of their players, sounds like they are struggling financially.

I have a feeling its Henry again - probably fit and been training with us. I would welcome the lad in and see how he does on a short term deal. He certainly seems really hungry for it and i think he can play at this level no problem having seeing him in pre season. He would be the type of player you need to come on and disrupt/create/nuisance man during the dying stages of the game - or if getting beat he could potentially get you that goal if given enough time on the pitch !

Halifax have that Max Wright, sure he played on the wing before and was very effective.

looking at their team - they have about 10 forwards. not too sure why so many as they look really light elsewhere.

That's a good shout Eiphos_3 I forgot all about him. I really like this lad regardless of some saying he has not done well anywhere else.

I’m another who’d be happy if Henry got a short term deal. Think he’d bust a gut for us if he got the chance.

I like the cut of Sloggett’s jib too. He just needs to stay fit!

I didn’t know he was still around but he would certainly be worth a short term contract if he’s fit.

Oluwabori seems to attract a bit of attention from Halifax, sure he's a tricky winger.

If Mottley-Henry signed for Crewe Alexandra when he scores it will appear on the teleprinter as Mottley Crewe

I like taking Halifax players off them - i dont think we have had a bad one yet from them haha !

Henry would be a nice addition - he wouldnt start any league games but a hell of a lad to bring on. Plus these daft cup games are coming soon and we already baring the brunt of being short. Never mind picking up dog shit injuries in them things.

Hope we see maybe another loanee CM and defender come in too. CB all of a sudden is looking like the thorn in our side once again.

Also anyone else think we lack a touch of pace in the side again ? Sloggett can get from box to box and ive watched some highlight reels of him, hes a classy CM by the looks and hes always played at a higher level so we should see something great from this lad.

A few of us got hammered for mentioning the lack of pace in the midfield when signing these new lads, all look very similar in what they do and its no surprise Featherstone is or will probobly end up our main midfielder again. We may look a different team if we get the ball down a bit, bit of variation in the play like we saw early doors at woking.

Pace kills games at this level especially if you want to punt the ball up the damn field every time ! Mani D can hold the ball and have runners off him, which has not happened yet. Yeh shame to say but Mr Maestro is needed as he is capable of pulling things together and keeping the team organised as shown against Woking likewise when he went off it went to shite.

Sloggett is playing Saturday and he will make a huge difference in our attacking play. This lad is a quality box to box player and probably should be playing higher up the leagues. Pools made him a good offer weeks before he signed and I was told the reason he delayed his decision was because he knows he is better than this level and waited 2 weeks before accepting. D.S. persuaded him to put himself in the shop window at Pools and see what the future brings. Its a win win because he signed a two year deal so if he does really well he will have the chance to move in the summer and Pools receive a fee. On the other hand if we get promotion he may stay. sctatchinghead

anyone remember eric harrison who we signed from them in the mid 60,s. only a shadow of the player who looked good for them previously. he was the first i remembered who we got from them.
