Can someone explain why the top 6 clubs cant play each other in this round? Football is becoming a joke in this country.

It’s obvious, it’s all about money, if the top 6 teams go out who would be interested the cup.

It's because the champions league & Europa League have been expanded & the EFL games are the same week as those games. The top 6 can't play in 2 games at the same time (even though they will play a weakened team in the EFL cup anyway). So they had to be kept apart so that their EFL game can be moved to a week when they don't have a European game, as the champions league & Europa League have an exclusive week in the first round of games, if they were drawn against each other, there wouldn't be a suitable week to play the EFL game.

If that doesn't make a lot of sense its mainly cos UEFA want to milk the fans for more money by having more European games.

The draw was televised last night and it was very confusing.
Mark Chapman said to the two ex footballers "if we dont get this right it will end our careers"

must admit now i,d still rather be watching even braintree this saturday than a pools side owned by yanks or arabs playing man.city with st,gary saying how unlucky we are on a VAR decision and our new spanish international being out for the season on match of the day. could take dropping down to play darlo again mor than that.
