I keep hearing ticket prices are a joke and should not of increased yet again sctatchinghead Well I have done a little digging of the teams in our areas North East / Yorkshire & Lancashire.

Altrincham 22
Heed 22
Halifax 22
Pools 22
Oldham 20

It's easy to see now that argument is dead in the water.

They are a joke for non league football and that goes for the lot of them. Add to that we had one of the highest season ticket prices before the discount ended and shock horror it looks like we are going to be 600 plus down a game. Anyone setting them prices needs their heads examining, especially when fans are struggling as it is and we are one of the most deprived towns going so really we should be way cheaper than a lot of southern clubs, i hazard a guess we probobly arent.

Ask yourself this after two games and what a lot have said is a great start. Do you think the season ticket prices and now on the day prices have worked compared to previous seasons?

Calm down calm down calm down did I say something that touched a nerve sctatchinghead All I proved is the single day ticket price is very much in order given what these clubs are charging. Does that make it a little clearer. sctatchinghead Overall yes football prices are crazy especially now but if the rest are putting em up in this area in this league they all will. Now I would accept that if we'll possible they all get together and fix the prices between them.

In order with what. How are we in order? with fans at say an altrincham quite a wealthy part of the country or a wealdstone on southeners wages. Gateshead yeah lot of poverty. We have outpriced people with season tickets thinking fans are going to pay southern prices to watch pools on the day, a totally clueless decision. We would have to be in top 3 all season for it to get anywhere near working. We have just played a game on a decent day unbeaten and were 600 plus down what happens when we play a tamworth under hoofball in mid table on a wet Tuesday night?

I will try once more I did not compare season ticket prices only single games  I only looked at clubs in the North. I simply put on teams in our ares that charge the same. Are we starting to now block free speech on our site.

You tried to prove a point that ticket prices arent a joke. Yet we are paying one of the most in possibly one of the ten most run down towns in the country. Sad facts are Hartlepool is deprived it should be way cheaper to watch football here than 90 percent of places in the country.

On Saturday some people were on a break with their families (it is still School Holidays), both Sunderland and Middlesbrough were at home, racing at Redcar and York ( last day of the Ebor Festival)was on offer, Leeds Music Festival was on and Pools were entertaining Wealdstone and their 33 supporters. At home on four consecutive Saturdays plus lengthy away trips can also add to the drain on fans finances.
Lots of alternatives there methinks.
I was considering buying a season ticket until the chancellor pinched two hundred quid out of me wallet, next year it will be three hundred.
Then we have a ten per cent energy price rice and whatever the autumn budget is bound to cost us.

Not sure what if anything is cheaper in Hartlepool because it's a deprived area so why would football be any different? I'd imagine Gateshead, Newcastle, Sunderland, Boro, Carlisle, Barrow are all charging the same or near enough the same as their league rivals.

its only housing thats cheaper than in most areas. all the fuels you use and food will be the same as they are in the most prosperous part of the country.

Think Solihull are categorizing their prices on who their opponents are, Figure that one out.

That isn't new it's being going on for years. I remember when we were in league one Leeds charged us £28 a pop and Huddersfield £18.

Can't remember who of hand but at least 2 teams in our league charge less for away supporters. The majority charge the same but quite a few charge more. One team charges home £22 away £25. And I believe around 80% have a add on fee from £1.50 to £3.00 for certain stuff like getting a printed ticket. They must all have gotten together during the pre- season and had a meeting on how they could best make money from " fresh air " .

based probebly on how many away fans are going to travel. they cannot charge more for away fans but can vary prices per game to get more from away teams who bring a decent following.
