We knew where their loyalty lay, but they kept bigging up their manager.
But if he’s so good why did he have Ward on the bench….?

The co biased commentator was the black bloke who was on TNT sports every game. banghead

Must be in the old TNT contracts to be biased against Pools, Adam Virgo used to hate us

Thought the not seen co-presenter was quite knowledgeable and said loads of positive stuff about Pools.

I thought they were very impartial considering they were Woking's commentators.

They weren't Wokings commentators they were from DAZN, those that have taken over TNT for the National League coverage

Sorry to disagree Mutters but Aaron McLean ex footballer ex TNT commentator. He was the black lad always on the live games. When on TNT he was impartial and did a sound job. But he was born just outside Woking and has aways supported them. Today my honest opinion was he was a disgrace with how blatantly biased he was throughout the whole game. I used to value his opinions and always a top commentator but no longer. The most one sided commentary I have ever listened to on any game. banghead

Yeh he was definitely biased kept using phrases like ‘unfortunately’ when working missed a chance or fucked up, not the end of the world but was clearly cheering on woking

I picked up on his biased commentary from the moment we went 2 0 up and put it on the match thread.
Dazn his employer not Woking which a few thought.
Agree Leggie43 disgraceful behaviour. :angry-tappingfoot:

As the teams were coming out they concentrated on one of their players, the forward whose name escapes me …praising him to high heaven and continued focusing on him like some sales pitch. You knew then they were just local commentators as they had a comprehensive knowledge of the their team and were referring to us from last seasons hymn sheet.

they must have been locals as DAZN are not going to employ all those commentators full time for all the games they streamed last night. i,d guess now both will be doing wokings next home game at home.

It was DAZN's featured game of the day - easy to spot from all the adverts for upcoming DAZN promotions like boxing matches. We'll be hearing from the two of them again the next time a Pools match is featured.

I'm in the minority with ToTheHartlepool. There was plenty of praise for us when we raced into a 2-0 lead but after the sending off the game was all about whether and when Woking would get back into it with a goal. In the 2nd half what could anyone say about Pools' performance except 'they're trying to hang on in there'?

Aaron McLean is an ex Aldershot player and despises Woking almost as much as Adam Virgo does, their bias has made trying to watch impartial ‘commentary’ on BT Sport featuring The Cards borderline impossible over the years.

He said some silly stuff and repeated this one twice with 15 minutes to go and Pools 2-1 up and him not liking us defending deep and doing ok at that stage " there is only one team trying to win " what does he expect after playing with 10 men ( on a long journey bank holiday ) from 25 minutes. He even said at one time " I would say that though wouldn't I " ( admitting he is a fan ) then started laughing. On the day he was terribly biased. I really liked the bloke and found him always to be fair and equal. Before yesterday I always enjoyed his big game opinions during the live t.v. games and he always talked the most sense. He is a life long Woking supporter and got a little over exited seeing his team crawl back into a game they never had a hope In hell of achieving before the sending off. I have recorded the game and will spent tonight bored shitless re watching the game. Then I will bring the undeniable evidence that will prove the man was biased. I will jot down literally everything he says thought the game then break it down in lots both good and bad. My mind was made up yesterday but hopefully others will realise how one sided the bloke was.

I think Rob Law is very good but I prefer an old pro instead of Stellings son. Higgy or Baron any time.

If a ‘commentator’ knows all the ins and outs at a certain club and obviously all the playing staff and management and has a vague idea of the opposition you can guarantee where their thinly disguised loyalties are.
I expect it from local radio coverage….. but this wasn’t ‘RADIO LOCAL’ .

I sometimes find Barron a bit semi detached with his comments, considering the time he spent here.

Barron is for Barron. Every other ex player doing commentary says " we or us " but Barron always says Hartlepool. banghead
