......we are not going to play wide men to get crosses in for Mani and Gary, then we could always go to a back three again with Doddsy and Fergie as attacking wing backs, cos Mani thrived on that sort of service and I'm sure Madine will too.
Waterfall, Cass Davies and Parkes could be the back three for starters, which will also give us more height in both defending and attacking set plays.
Is that worth a try?????

That would be very interesting and I would try that system if I was in charge considering the current fit players available to him. But I know for a fact D.S. is very open to other tactics and fully understands the current system is perfect for away games but not exciting or entertaining in home games. The three players he is excited to get fully fit are Charman & Sloggett & Doddsy in that order. These three are vital in order to achieve a more attack minded team particularly at home. He wants another quality winger and a top goalkeeper and I think by the end of September he will have the jigsaw complete. In D.S. I trust and unless we start getting mullied game after game I will patiently await the complete jigsaw and see what that brings.

problem in that system we TRIED to play football--under this guy teh instruction is clearly punt it up centrally and get bodies round the ball.

He made a joke about having words with Dodds for trying a nutmeg on the half way line v Yeovil--it seemed churlish at the time to mention it but I did think--hmm when he said it-

i,d agree if we had the players available to play that way. apart from the possibility of grey playing out wide we haven,t a player yet who could play in that role until dodds and charman come back.
