Whats up with Charman now? Very good player but always picking up injuries!!

Ya did warn us.

I have watched it over and over again and in all honesty it was nothing and not a card for me like. Maybe it was caused by his exaggerated rolling around sctatchinghead I have to wonder if the lad is soft as shit or maybe I am being unfair. If you haven’t seen it take a look sctatchinghead Just after he came back on he ran full out down the wing but the defender was faster and stopped him, then he started walking away and just sat down and then went off sctatchinghead Please disagree but at least check or double check the footage first. My impression was he knew the lad was faster and thought foook it I'm off.

Nah, it was right in front of me and he caught his ankle badly, definite card and Charman looked to be crying in pain from where I was. He was still hobbling then went on another run and ended up crocked on his arse but the first foul did the damage.

Not disagreeing...So you had the same view as the camera. I was in the Cyril Knowles and from that far away I wanted him sent off. But I have watched it over and over again but will agree with you 100% if you have watched it back not a problem.

It was right in front of me in Mill House terrace, I actually was surprised he stayed on the pitch. Definite yellow card not a red.

I totally understand what you are saying and you had a perfect view which I don’t deny. Not at all being argumentative here but have you watched the footage. sctatchinghead

No I haven't watched the footage, but from where I was (about 10m away and almost pitch level) it looked a bad tackle. Maybe the camera angle from higher up made it look better?

Like I said ( although we never see eye to eye on anything ) I wasn’t trying to cause any argument at all. So thanks for replying.

Nor was I trying to be argumentative (this time), just saying what it looked like to most of us who were pretty close to the incident. I honestly think he knew he'd have to go off but tried to run it off which obviously was a bad move.
Hope he's back soon either way.

There a much greater chance of you being spot on with own eyes than any camera I totally get that and respect your opinion. The only thing I would add is I have myself over the years ( on the rare occasion ) been convinced of what I witnessed at close range but later changed my mind after seeing footage. Maybe I always had terrible eyesight.

I thought it was a bad tackle, charman got past him so brought him down, he could have done that and taken a booking but decided to get his moneys worth and ‘leave something on him’ though probably wasn’t trying to get
Him badly injured

It goes to show we all have opinions and we often believe we are right but sometimes we are wrong. I am all for debate and if conducted in the right way it usually proves one or the other poster is correct.

Seems a strange one with Waterfall he gets booked for arguing with the ref who then at half time supposedly admits he got it wrong, Then four minutes into the second half is dismissed for pulling a players shirt which these days is common practice. Surely a better answer in view of his midtake in the first half the ref should have given him a final warning.

The ref gave him a final warning 2 minutes before he sent him off when he fouled the other lad
Southend players were basically asking the ref how it wasn’t a yellow,
I like waterfall a lot I do wonder if the bang on the head impaired his judgement somewhat
At least only a 1 game ban and would likely have missed Tamworth anyway given plastic pitch and he was touch and go for Saturday

Nowt up with Waterfall, he’s just passionate and outspoken, exactly what we’ve been lacking.
He’s a leader, not a Southgate and I know which I prefer.
Doubtless him and Sarll will have ‘had a chat’.
Now pull your necks in girls.

totally true. what i,d like to know though is why he wasn,t subbed straight away after that warning. it wasn,t as if we hadn,t got a CB on the bench to make it 11 v 11. i,d guess now if our last seasons managers had been in charge somebody would have mentioned this already.

Don't think he should have been subbed, but he should never have given the ref a chance to give him the 2nd card. Just plain stupid and I would imagine Sarll like us would expect a senior player and captain to have more sense and self control. He was having a very good game too.

on Tuesday night I wouldn't mind seeing Mani and Joe as a front two, Campbell in the hole and Featherstone coming into midfield alongside Hunter and Sheron to bridge the gap between defence and attack with his passing ability.

I got that right at any rate  Come on Feaths, make a difference.

45 minutes though is a long time for a defender to live on a knife edge where one badly timed tackle would have been there lot. he was having an excellent game but having that hanging over him might have seen him much less positive.
