I don't think it's because of Doddsy because he looks as fit as a butchers dog. He is 20 % fitter now than before his injury fact. I am hoping it's to push Doddsy higher

Maybe there is interest in Doddsy from higher up, and a chance he could be on his way should he prove his fitness sufficiently before the EFL window shuts.

If Dodds isn't on the team sheet today and not declared injured we can start to fear the worst. He is a cracking player and has come back fitter so it would be no surprise to anybody if interest in him has been shown.
I'd hate to lose him but if he is offered a deal from higher in the pyramid which is good for him, then the fee for us has to be good for us.

Lo and behold Dodds has a minor hamstring injury and is ruled out.

The one clear chance Southend had all game came directly from 'stevo' mistakes--he is doing ok that aside and being helped through a lot by Parks and Waterfall but the way we are playing % football we arent going to score too many.

Dodds may be out for 2 weeks - hopefully with Freeman now in the side we see a rotation of RBs.

Stevo is learning still - he will make mistakes but like ive said before we dont want to be carrying the apprentice and redoing his work so to speak.

good for the lad to start and get more game time but if Dodds is going to be in and out the squad with niggles we need to either sign a replacement full time or end up like last season with a fractured RWB position. Freeman may just be that but we have not see enough of him yet to fill me with the confidence needed - His CV does look good and you dont play at that level for that long without been a very good defender.

What happened then

If Sarly gets us promotion under these circumstances he will deserve a knighthood and a shit load of Compensation to Pools when he gets the England job.
