We def look a nightmare to play against

Charman is crocked tho and Southend should have scored after Stephenson let ball bounce and got skinned…Sarll will be giving him a right bollocking

Well that was an industrial first half !

Southend stood up to us well in fairness and other teams may go under

In fairness to Sarll it’s clear we are coached a certain way and following instructions though haven’t created anything
Hopefully we can keeep up what we are doing for 90minutes

+ves
Everyone on same page and defensively especially helping each other out
Our physicality has improved off the charts

-ves
Charman injury who looks perfect fit
For this style and stepehenson has a way to go before being a regular
Mancini looks lost in all the pinball but does show quality when on the ball
We have no one on the benc h to try and push for a winner

Overalll would like to see us try and play a bit more football in their half but hopefully that will come Campbell free kick aside we haven’t looked like scoring

Without being a broken record I don’t see us keeping up this style of play without a VERY deep bench
With charman likely out for tamworth we are so thin on the ground going fwd it’s scary

And…waterfall sent off after a stupid booking in the first half for arguing 2nd booking after either hunter or Sheron dropped a bollock in the middle

superb battling seconed half from the 10 left on the pitch (god knows how they will feel on tuesday)

Really superb discipline and work ethic throughout--hard to pick one out but Parkes MoM for me, closely followed by Campbell who really worked his bollocks off.
Stephenson comes out of that 2nd half with a great deal of credit too

Concern around where the quality overall comes from but that work ethic and spirit will take us a long way

More bodies desparetly needed though

Well it’s a point won in the circumstances. 10/10 for effort and determination. Need more creativity up front though and suspensions and injuries building up. Still 4 points from 6 is a good start. Well done lads

Waterfall will be disappointed with himself-club captain and booked for whining at the ref---he will make up for it I am sure

Down to 10 men because of first yellow card on Waterfall being for gobbing to the Ref. The Refs have apparently been instructed to come down hard on dissent, so why make it easy for them.
Brilliant point gained against the odds but Southend didn't punish us when really they should have done.
But hey what if we look back on that point as the one which made us Champions or at least play off contenders.
Now wouldn't that be nice.

But then the Southend lad going ape shit at the ref at the end didn't get a yellow. They pick and choose yellows. Still daft like.

impressed with Hunter and Sheron but likely to pick up at least 10 yellows each this season playing like that

Team have obviously bought into Sarlls philosophy--but hopefully we try and play a LITTLE more football with it.
Mancini must be wondering what it was all about with the get it and punt it approach

Hopefully Charman not out for too long...

Massive point with 10 men, we never looked like creating a thing so to get a point while doing that takes some doing.

Personally I blame the manager for not drumming into all players that when playing a physical game, the one thing one must not do is give away soft yellows for backchat etc. If he did and Waterfall went against orders, he should lose the captaincy.

Do you think Sarll needs telling things like that, I’ll trust him.

And zero goals against. MOM was without doubt Parksy immense and his best ever performance for Pools. All the others outstanding defending and winning the ball. Dixon pulled of a superb block on a one to one made himself big and got the reward. He also slowed the game and time wasted when under pressure. Special mention D.S. who kept organising the team and encouraging them non stop. No one had a bad game everyone gives 110%. Very proud of the team and management who have the fight and attitude to do remarkable things this season.

Parksy 10 out 10
Campbell 8
Grey 8
Hunter 8
Ferguson 8
Mani D 8
Sheron 7
Dixon 7

Special mention to Stephenson who made a mistake first half but either way still 8.
The rest worked really hard.

It is a worry that we are unable to do what many teams in the NL do which is occasionally put 4,5,6 or 7 goals in when they have a good day. When did we last win by a good clear margin?
Having said that, having a good defence is the basis of a good team.

All very positive there but we never created a thing all game. For a home team thats quite poor. No arguing great to see a hartlepool team with a bit of fight and organisation though.

When he first got the job I can remember him saying.
We have to cut down big time the amount of goals we conceded last season to progress this season.
By hook or crook looks like we Gunna improve that stat.
That's an early bonus to build on.
UTP.

mancini had chances to shine but his little tricks he had at the start of last season just didn,t or look likely to ever come off. looked a pail imitatation of the player we once knew and loved. looked like someone who has lost interest and wants away.
